Debra Watson is bringing her fun blend of rockin' blues, swing and rockabilly music to the Oasis Starlight on Saturday, May 9, 2009.

Following several headlining gigs in Los Angeles, this will be Debra's Austin debut since returning to her home town several months ago. She now lives in Hudson Bend with her sister, Dayna Mosier, a member of the Emmaus Church Choir.

She's playing music from her albums, "That's Right!" and "Come Dance with Me," including tow new original toe-tapping songs: "That's Right!" and "Tow Truck Blues". She has several leading Austin musicians joining her at the Oasis including Phil Chidester, Paul Haake, Kaz Kazanoff, Larry Eisenberg, Mike Skiffington. Joining her on background vocals will be her sister, Danya Mosier.

The music and dancing takes place from 7 to 10pm. Free dance lesson during the sets taught by Jerry Jordan of Atomic Ballroom fame.

In Los Angeles, Watson and her band The Smokin' Aces, made up of some of L.A.'s finest musicians, have headlined at such L.A. hotspots as The Derby, Harvelle's, Rusty's Rhythm Club, Colver City Saloon, Joe's American Bar and Grill, Rusty's Surf Ranch, Swingfish, the Hyatt on Avenue of the Stars, and Lunaria Jazz Club.

Debra has been guest vocalist (blues, jazz, swing) for many top groups including among others the Late Great JJ Bad Boy Jones, Flat Top Tom and his Jump Cats, Erik Estrand, Swing Kings, Swing Syndicate, Mark Tortorici and the Torch Lighters, and William "Soul" Porter.

Watson's excited to be back in Austin where she's been getting ready for official re-entry into the Austin music scene, by doing local blues jams at Antone's, Victory Grill, Maggie Mae's, and other venues......
